i spent the weekend up in the new england town of stamford, ct with my favorite people, minus one rice rocket. as usual, we packed our days with shopping and our evenings with dips, gossip, and too many glasses of chardonnay.
the challenge that sometimes arises during these reunions is coordinating five different agendas. This presented itself the moment we arrived in new york, in the form of a search for a full-service salon that offered $10 manicures, eyebrow threading, and acrylic nail fill-ins that didn't require ashley to take out a second mortgage to pay for them.
we dubbed this trip "the weekend dreams come true." anna, with whom the credit lies for introducing the reva flat to our wardrobes, finally purchased her own pair. ashley had her eyebrows threaded at shobha, one of the city's trendiest salon that not only caters to standard hair-removal needs, but also offers a number of services no one in k&co. had ever heard of. for years, christine wanted to dine at p.f. chang's during a reunion, and as a result of friday night's pre-dinner spread (thanks mrs. o'brien), ashley was too stuffed to put up a fight. as for me, i just wanted to browse soho's recently opened topshop and pick up some pinkberry frozen yogurt. and sometimes the best dreams that come true are the ones you didn't realize you had been wishing for; such as finding a marc by marc jacobs dr q lil riz bag 50% off.
as always, the weekend flew by way too quickly and ended before the next trip could be planned. so, ladies, pull out your calendars.
